Welcome to Base Camp W.E.S.T. We conduct wilderness
skills and survival training to individuals as well as professional organizations
and community and groups. If you work in remote areas or under extreme
environmental conditions Base Camp W.E.S.T. has a course that will benefit
you. We also offer Wilderness Skills training to folks that are looking
to make their outdoor experience safer and more enjoyable. Our objective
is to tailor a course specifically to meet your needs and conduct that
training in the mountains and deserts of New Mexico.
Our wilderness and environmental safety
and survival classes provides the training and skills necessary to safely
conduct operations in any environment and under any climatic condition.
We do this by teaching our clients how to adapt to their environment to
prevent injury and illness, and if faced with an emergency, how to best
satisfy their survival needs in that environment.
Base Camp W.E.S.T. also offers classes and field trips in Camping Skills,
Map and Compass, GPS, Edible and Medicinal plants, Dutch Oven Cooking,
Hiking, and Backpacking
